HOW TO ADOPT:

  • A dog or cat caught your eye
  • You’re ready to make a commitment to give him/her a forever home
  • You will meet a member of the ARNI team to fill out an adoption application
  • You’re qualified & ready to go home with your new companion!

ADOPT PROCEDURE:

At ARNI our goal is to find every cat and dog a loving forever home!

Thank you for checking with us for your new companion! We always have tons of wonderful animals searching for their forever families and you can come by anytime to see them all. We are located at 600 Mason ave and our hours of operation are 9am-5pm, Monday-Saturday. If you find an animal you would like to see, just ask a staff member to assist you. If you really like the animal and are considering adoption, we can send them on a trial adoption for a few days so you can make sure everything works out.

If the animal isn’t yet spayed/neutered, you can ask to place a hold on the animal so we contact you when they are ready to go home. If they are already spayed/neutered, you just fill out our adoption application and after we review it, you pay the adoption fee and they can usually go home the same day. If everything goes great, you just come back after the couple days, and finalize the adoption. That’s when you get all of their adoption paperwork and shot record information. If it doesn’t work out, we always take our animals back.

Cat and kitten adoptions are $30, which includes the spaying/neutering, first set of vaccinations, leukemia/aids testing, deworming, and microchipping. They are also up to date on flea prevention. (Thank you so much to Alex D for sponsoring the $30 adoption promotion for our kitties)

Dog adoptions are $80, which includes the spaying/neutering, first set of vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, and microchipping. They are also up to date on flea prevention.

Puppy adoptions are $150, which includes the spaying/neutering, first set of vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and 6 free A.K.C. STAR training sessions($100 value). They are also up to date on flea prevention.

For our puppies, we require an essay to be submitted prior to adoption so we can ensure they go to loving, committed families. We want to make sure their first home is their forever home. We just need to know a little bit about your home, why you’re interested in adopting at this time, if you own/rent, and why you feel your home is a good fit.
